  1. ATX Adds Support for DOCSIS 3.1, IP Video

At the SCTE's Cable-Tec Expo in Philadelphia, ATX Networks is featuring 1.2 GHz RF management platforms, gateways, and enterprise IP video solutions. ATX's MAXNET II and SignalOn modular RF management platforms have been expanded to 1.218 GHz bandwidth to support DOCSIS 3.1. MAXNET II is an MCX/F connector-based RF solution with SNMP/web remote control/monitoring. Newest to the line are GaN driver amplifiers and broadcast/narrowcast combiner passives. SignalOn is an F/BNC connector-based RF/L-Band solution. It also offers patented make-before-break (MBB) JXP pad sockets so that the RF path is never interrupted. ATX also offers its MAXNET original F/BNC connector-based integrated 5-1,002 MHz RF signal management platform. Active products in all three series include amplifiers, power supplies, RF detector A/B switches, and analog return optical receivers. ATX's UCrypt IP2A gateway is designed for conversion of IP video streams to NTSC or PAL analog formats. The device is designed to ingest up to 60 MPEG-2/H.264, HD/SD, IP Multicast SPTS/MPTS video streams and convert them to NTSC or PAL. ATX's UCrypt Q2A gateway allows MSOs to decrypt select programs from their digital tier and retransmit them in NTSC or PAL analog formats. The device is designed to ingest up to 60 MPEG-2/H.264, HD/SD video streams and convert them to NTSC or PAL, and is intended for analog reclamation. The new UCrypt monitoring server offers centralized mass monitoring and management of deployed UCrypt devices. It includes proactive diagnosis and notification of potentially service affecting issues. UCrypt devices are also available in QAM-to-QAM, QAM-to-IP, IP-to-QAM, and IP-to-IP. ATX's VidiPlay middleware is part of its enterprise IPTV solutions for local or private IP networks. The system includes the company's UCrypt gateways, DigiVu II encoders, VersAtive Pro transcoders, and VidiPlay middleware. The system can include IP set-back boxes and smart TV clients to deliver IP video to large format displays (TVs) as well as clients for PCs, tablets, and mobile devices. VidiPlay also manages client authentication and access control and provides client UI customization. It supports features such as an interactive program guide (IPG), VOD, nPVR, and digital signage.
