Ericsson Acquiring Microsoft Mediaroom

Ericsson LogoEricsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) has reached an agreement with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) to acquire its TV solution, Mediaroom business. Ericsson said that successful completion of the deal will give it one-quarter of the market for IPTV and multi-screen solutions. The acquisition of Mediaroom--which employs more than 400 people--is expected during the second half of the year.
